ABOUT ME

Khora Productions was set-up as an umbrella for the work of producer, Helen Goodman.

Helen would describe herself as a ‘creative producer’ in that she enjoys working collaboratively with artists and creatively designing projects from the outset. She has a strategic brain and is an expert car-boot-packer.

She initially trained at Bretton Hall College, holding a First Class BA in Dramaturgy – skills that inform her Producing practice today. She holds a PGCE from University of Cambridge and a Masters in Ensemble Theatre from Rose Bruford College. In 2014 Helen was nominated for the Arts Foundation Fellowship Award (Emerging Producer category). She is a Clore Leadership Fellow.

Helen lead the Hull Independent Producer Initiative (HIPI) from 2016 for Hull UK City of Culture 2017 before continuing with legacy company Absolutely Cultured into 2019. Helen currently chairs the Board of Hull theatre company Silent Uproar.

She was core producer for French Choreographer Lola Maury from 2014-2019; was core producer for Clout Theatre 2012-2015 and has worked in various project producer roles including for Manchester International Festival, Hull Truck Theatre, RashDash, Forward Theatre Project and many others.

Helen is based in the North West of England.
