ABOUT ME

Khora Productions was set-up as an umbrella for the work of producer, Helen Goodman.

Steadily building up experience and expertise in talent and sector development by drawing on her producing skills. Helen would describe herself as a ‘creative producer’ in that she enjoys working collaboratively with artists and creatively designing projects from the outset. She has a strategic brain and is an expert car-boot-packer. She has produced in many artforms including theatre, dance, digital, live-art, jazz, classical music and opera. She has been described as possessing ‘fierce loveliness’. Helen has supported hundreds of artists and numerous emerging producers.

Helen trained in Dramaturgy at Bretton Hall College. She holds a PGCE from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in Ensemble Theatre from Rose Bruford College. Nominated for the Arts Foundation Fellowship Award (Emerging Producer category); participant on British Council Emerging Producers Development Programme; a Clore Leadership Fellow. 

Helen lead the Hull Independent Producer Initiative (HIPI) from 2016 for Hull UK City of Culture 2017 before continuing with legacy company Absolutely Cultured. She chaired the Board of Silent Uproar and was also a school Governor for five years. Core producer for French Choreographer Lola Maury, Clout Theatre and Forward Theatre Project plus various project producer roles including for Manchester International Festival, Hull Truck Theatre, RashDash, SLAPYork, Sand House in Doncaster, Manchester Jazz Festival and many others. 

She’s currently working with Buxton International Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival and Oldham Coliseum Theatre. Click here for more on what she’s up to now.
